I recently teamed up with Military Apparel Company. I love their creations, and my son absolutely loves his personalized bear (we named him daddybear and he gives goodnight kisses when daddy isn’t home). Maybe you haven’t heard of the company, or maybe you have been putting off placing an order. Here’s a few things you should know.
#1: You can use the material from your own uniform
Wether it’s your old uniform, your spouses, or a fallen family member- don’t let it sit in the attic. Turn it into something amazing. Simply mail it to the address provided on their website and don’t worry if it’s not a military uniform- they can convert all types of uniforms (check out their first responder items). If you don’t have a uniform to use, that’s okay too! They have in-stock fatigues they will use, just let them know what type of uniform you want.
#2 You are not limited to the items they have
available
Military Apparel Company does custom orders. If you want something different all you have to do is email eve@militaryapparelcompany.com and she will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss the order.
#3 They offer bundle sales
Their bundles offer such great value! For example, you can get a keychain 50% off when you spend $40. Another one is 25% off a teddy bear when you purchase any of the blankets! You can even get a FREE wallet when you spend $100. Read more about their bundles here.
#4 The quality is fantastic and they are handmade
I am extremely happy with my creation and not because I’ve teamed up with them. I teamed up with them because I truly believe they make quality creations that I want to share with others. They put a lot of effort into making it as perfect as possible. Take it from someone that also spent a lot of time making products: it’s almost impossible for handmade creations to be automated-machine-perfect.. but they are way more special and unique!
#5 You get what you pay for (in a good way!)
At first glance you might think some of the products are a little on the pricey side. They really aren’t! We are talking about handcrafted, custom, high quality creations! I know first hand that making products cost a LOT more than you think. It is not just the price of the fabric, or the time it takes to make. Consider these costs: fabric, embroidery needles, embroidery thread, regular sewing machine needles, regular sewing machine thread, interfacing, fabric glue or tape or pins, webbing, accessories (zippers, buttons, snaps, handles, etc), equipment repair or maintenance, hot iron, stitch ripper, ribbons, scissors, sewing machine attachments, the list goes on. You are getting a high quality creation for an extremely reasonable price.
BONUS! As a Moms Don’t Sleep reader, you can use code Momsdontsleep and get 5% off your order!
